I can now confirm that we have sufficient crews to begin mop up collections as of tomorrow morning. This is a significant piece of work and I am very grateful to officers who have been working flat out since Wednesday morning to prepare this.
Residents whose bins were rejected should leave their bins at the edge of their property from tomorrow morning.
Collections will take several days (we are not yet clear exactly how long this will take, hence we cannot be more specific with an exact time to leave out the bin) and residents should leave their bin out until it is collected. We already have very good records of all rejections, but if residents are anxious that their bin might be missed, they can forward details to recycling@southkesteven.gov.uk or contact their ward councillor
Meetings continue apace today and I hope to have the next steps of the schedule over the next month with you as soon as possible. As always, as you become aware of issues, please pass these on so I can act on them.
